Our Story
We're a takeout-only Himachali kitchen in Brampton, focused on vegetarian-forward Himalayan street food and Dham-style feasts.
We left the mountains of Himachal, but the mountains never left us. Straight Outta Shimla was born from a simple craving — for the kind of food that takes you back: slow-cooked, hand-rolled, and made with love the way our grandmothers made it.
"Food is the shortest distance between people — and Shimla food is the soul of the Himalayas."
Every dish on our menu is rooted in tradition. We use time-honoured Himachali techniques: fermenting, slow-cooking, hand-rolling. No shortcuts. No compromises. Just the real taste of the mountains, right here in Brampton.

Who We Are
We're a takeout-only Himachali kitchen in Brampton, focused on vegetarian-forward Himalayan street food and Dham-style feasts.
We are a Himachali family bringing the real flavours of the mountains to the Canadian table. Every recipe in our kitchen has roots in the hill towns of Himachal Pradesh — Shimla, Kullu, Kangra.
We believe in keeping things real: local ingredients, honest cooking, and dishes that feel like home. Whether you grew up eating Dham or are discovering it for the first time, we want every visit to feel like a seat at our family table.
What People Are Saying
We got siddu, momo and patrode, and I was so excited to try the siddu for the first time! Wow, it was amazing! I haven't had patrode in ages, and it felt like eating homemade food. I highly recommend this hidden gem! We ordered it the very next day. Thank you so much.
Finally, I found authentic taste of siddu and momos — specifically the chutney is not a blend of sauces, it's simple and authentic. The whole experience reminds me of my student life in Shimla.
If you are looking for unique Himalayan street eats and snacks like Momo, this is the place to go. Food is delicious, fresh and amazing service with a smile. I keep going back.
I recently ordered from SOS, the food is awesome. It's rare to find such good Himachali food around here, and this place truly stands out. Highly recommend it to anyone craving traditional mountain flavours — I'll definitely be ordering again!
It's been 3 years we are eating their food — authentic, amazing Himachali food which tastes so good. Every bite brings nostalgia. Those not familiar with Himachali food must try at least once — I bet they'll come back for more. They even customized the food to our taste buds. Really sweet of them!
Hands down. The best momo place in GTA — we loved it! Also very authentic!
